Paul has been doing voice work for McGirvanmedia for over 25 years and is the brand voices for many of our clients, including Suncorp Stadium and Century Yuasa to name a few. Paul is creative in the booth; whether it’s a regional accent or a world famous celebrity, he nails the brief. A former radio announcer and comedy writer, Paul enjoys bushwalking, keeping up with two kids, attempting to grow veggies and forever promising to clean out the garage. He also enjoys motorcycling and has his pilot’s licence (an accent waiting to happen)!   Have a listen to some of the recent projects Paul has worked on for us!

Radio and voiceover work has been a huge part of Mel’s life since she could talk! She started voicing commercials from the age of 3 and her Dad, uncles and cousins currently work in radio right around the country so it’s definitely in her blood! Mel lived in Canada for three years before settling for a warmer climate at the Sunshine Coast with her family, where she is a radio announcer.   Mel has a two-year old daughter which keeps her busy and in her spare time enjoys trips to the beach, hiking, playing music, ski trips and spending time with friends and family. Mel delivers a very natural, relatable read style – You can take a listen to some of the recent jobs Mel has worked on here.

Angus has been part of our team for a few years now. He has a unique voice, turning it up a notch for upbeat energetic reads, yet can also add a more corporate and serious tone to the mix. Angus loves to run voiceover workshops and is a certified voice coach. A fully confessed music nerd, Angus has a very impressive record collection, dotes on his cat, Louie and likes running to keep fit. You can listen to some of Angus’s recent work here.

Lisa-Jane (LJ) started her career in the world of voiceovers at the age of 18. A natural behind the mic, LJ has voiced thousands of ads and projects for radio, television, documentaries, character animation, websites and messages on hold (maybe even yours). LJ’s warm and friendly personality shines through in her reads. Previously working on local Breakfast Radio, she has created web content for Tourism Queensland’s “Live Australia’s Stories” campaign, called “LJ’s Outback Adventure. Her recent podcast, “Kindness and Other Stuff” features interviews with everyday people.  LJ no longer has to rise and shine early for breakfast radio these days and enjoys her early morning fitness regime with swimming, kayaking, yoga and walking. Kieron has been with us for a few years now and has already added his voice to a number of our client’s campaigns… including Lion NZ, Translink, and Novotel Sydney.  Kieron has worked at numerous radio stations both in Australia and New Zealand and is no stranger to being behind the mic. Kieron loves 80’s music (well music in general really) and even runs his own hobby 80’s radio station online. He’s also Dad to 3 teenagers, which keeps him and his partner pretty busy when he’s not reading scripts. Alison has been with us for over 20 years and is the brand voice for many of our clients, including RACQ, Surf Lifesaving, and Q Bank. Alison is versatile in the studio and can radiate any read style, from young, vibrant and energetic, or warm and comforting, to mature and professional. Alison’s career started in Brisbane Radio, when she was a Black Thunder Driver and some 25 years later, she’s still voicing animated characters, radio and TV ads and sings a ton of catchy jingles. When she’s not in the voice booth, Alison moonlights as a children’s author and has had several books published in Australia and the USA. Alison is a mum to two gorgeous teenagers and two adorable fur babies. Take a listen to some of Alison’s recent work here.

David is a published author and a professional photographer and artist and has written screenplays for movies such as “Yours, Mine & Ours”. As well as regular gigs for McGirvanmedia, David is also a radio announcer and program director for some of Australia’s best radio stations and consults to stations in Australia, NZ, the Middle East and Germany. David is married with two children, loves walking his dog at the beach enjoys a glass of wine or two, catching up with friends, playing Wordle and working out. Check out David’s voice demo here. Deb voices for our New Zealand clients and has worked on various projects for us over the years.  Often described as a premium voice, Deb delivers a warm, professional, communicative read style. With a background in radio writing and voicing commercials, then as the national network news-reader for More FM, she has also  taught writing and voiceover skills both privately and in tertiary education in New Zealand. Deb lives in the stunning foothills of Mid-Canterbury on the edge of the Southern Alps, a beautiful part of the world. Have a listen to some of Deb’s excellent work.

Ross has enjoyed a career behind the mic for more than 40 years.  If  you ever catch the train on the QLD Rail Network, you have probably heard Ross as he is the voice you hear over the speakers!   You may also recognise Ross’s voice from the daily Channel NINE News Promos and voicing scripts for us of course! When not behind the microphone from his home based studio, Ross loves to travel, hit the road for a run or take to the outdoors for a trekking adventure.  Listen to Ross’s demo and you’ll hear how familiar he sounds!  

Sharyn has worked as a Voiceover for both national and international clients, so her voice is recognised around the world. A Former Radio Announcer, one of the many projects Sharyn was selected for was as the Federal Government brand voice during COVID. Sharyn has a high end opulent read style and is often chosen by many of our clients for exclusive campaigns. In her spare time, Sharyn loves dancing. Geoff has been working behind the mic for us for more than 25 years and reads for many of our clients including Qantas, Thai Airways, Energex, Brisbane City Council and the Department of Transport and Main Roads. Formerly heard on local radio stations, Geoff likes to joke around in the booth but is serious when it comes to nailing the brief, always exceeding our client’s expectations. Geoff is very versatile when it comes to read styles. Hobbies include getting out into nature, either on foot or by bike and he also knows a lot about road safety. Lauren began her Voice career in radio as an announcer.  She then moved across to script writing before being promoted to Creative Director.  Lauren now works as a freelance voice over artist full-time and is the brand voice for many of our clients.  She delivers a professional, warm, and engaging read style and as well as Message on hold and IVR work, recent projects through McGirvanmedia have included Video Narrations and Stadium Announcements for sporting and music events.  Lauren loves a nice cuppa in the garden before she starts her day – She also loves spending time with family, bush camping and stargazing from her camp chair, enjoying the company of her cat on the couch and sharing stories with neighbours on the weekends by the chiminea. Allan has worked for us over a number and years and his professional warm and rich voice has been popular with clients in Australia, the USA, UK, and South-East Asia.  Allan has been a broadcaster in mainstream media for as long as he can remember; his voice is clear, engaging, and friendly, his conversational read is extremely relatable to our clients. In his spare time, Allan loves to narrate audio books for the visually impaired and wider audiences – He also loves to visit and experience countries and their culture across the globe.  Have a listen to some of Allan’s work here.

Georgia has been behind the mic for a couple of years now. She is often selected for exuding a youthful vibrant energy in her reads.  She can also deliver a warm and caring read style for any instructional voice announcements.  In her spare time Georgia loves hula hooping, bird watching, skiing and buying books she is never going to read!  She also loves spending time with her rescue dog, Agatha. Murray has been a voice over artist, radio announcer and producer since the Carpenters were playing their hits on the airwaves!  Murray regularly voices messages on hold and IVR recordings for our clients including Surf Life Saving Foundation, Minor Hotels, and the Rexel Group,  Murray has a passion for local film locations and is currently putting a book together about the history of QLD Film and Television locations.  Murray looks forward to travelling with his wife to see their children who live overseas; they are also animal lovers and regularly attend cat shows with their Maine Coons and Ragdoll felines.  A quirky fact about Murray…. He loves acting and is first role was an extra on The Love Boat in 1981!!  You can listen to Murray’s work here.

Melissa has been doing voiceovers for McGirvanmedia for over 15 years, so she knows the drill when it comes to voicing message on hold and IVR scripts.  As you can see from the photo, coffee is Melissa’s friend and she confirms she cannot do mornings without it! As well as being a coffee connoisseur, Melissa has attained a bachelor and an honours degree in psychology and is currently studying for her Master of Clinical Psychology down in Melbourne. Melissa has three sons who are all taller than her!  She enjoys spending time with her boys and travelling when time permits. Bridget lives in Christchurch, New Zealand and is a qualified radio announcer, journalist and producer. She has been working with some of NZ’s major broadcasting networks over the past 25 years.  Bridget also enjoys MCíng  for corporate and stadium events throughout the country. After losing her home in the 2011 Christchurch earthquake, Bridget is excited about the rejuvenation of Christchurch.  She lives with her husband and two very energetic daughters. In summer, it’s all about being near the ocean while in winter, it’s all about skiing with the family.  Bridget is passionate about helping NZ businesses thrive and loves using her skills on the mic.

Dave has been in radio since he started his working career. He began as Commercial Producer and promo guy, before becoming a voice over artist, directing other talent as well reading scripts himself. Dave was then promoted to the Gold Coast Head studio as Commercial/Imaging Producer, where he worked for several years. Now a freelance voiceover artist/audio producer, Dave voices for some pretty impressive clients. When not busy recording in the studio, Dave loves jumping on the trampoline or kicking the soccer ball with his two boys. He also enjoys cooking Asian and Indian food and even grows his own herbs and a variety of chillies in his garden. Have a listen to some of Dave’s cheerful vibrant reads.

Carey has been busy voicing for our New Zealand clients for over five years now.  She has been doing Voiceover work for 25 plus years and has also worked in radio over in New Zealand as a Creative Director.  In Carey’s spare time she loves Floral artistry and she is kept busy with her three young children – She also loves to bake yummy treats. Introducing Josh, who graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University with a Bachelor of Acting (Distinction) in 2021 Not only does Josh have a successful acting career, he has also been producing quality voice over projects since 2015, working on a number of corporate and creative projects. Through McGirvan Media, he has voiced message on hold and IVR scrips for clients including Aware Super and Cleanaway. Josh is an avid AFL and cricket fan, and loves nothing more than a nice picnic in the park with his fiancée Jess and their dog Pip!

Triona has joined the McGirvanmedia team one of our newest recruits – A Filipina-Australian artist, Triona Graduated with Distinction of class 2020, obtaining a BA in acting at the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University. Triona’s voice features in a brand new animation series called Professor Eggtop’s Extraordinary Experiments, where she plays of the role of Megumi  – She has recently wrapped recording 10 episodes for season 1. She is also the Artistic Director of independent theatre company, mIxED productions. In her spare time, Triona enjoys seeking out the perfect coffee brew, reading plays, going to see plays, Harry Potter, Active wear (specifically Lululemon) and being an Aunty (Tita) to her beautiful nephew.

Elise has been with McGirvanmedia for over 25 years and is the brand voice of a number of our clients including Qantas, Bupa and Australian Retirement Trust. Elise is an actor and playwright, so she knows scripts inside and out. With a warm, neutral-accented, engaging sound, Elise can lift a script off the page and bring it to life instantly. When she’s not working with scripts, Elise can be found doing yoga and spending time with her husband and three children. You can listen to some of Elise’s work here.

Alan started McGirvanmedia over 35 years ago and certainly knows the voiceover business inside out having been in the media industry for 40 years plus. He was one of the very first breakfast show hosts on what was then known as Double J back in the early 70’s.  Being in the industry for so long, Alan went on to enjoy a successful radio career, becoming Australia Radio Personality of the Year.  Alan still likes to be in the voiceover booth and is chosen for a smooth corporate read by our clients.  Take a listen to some of Alan’s work here.
